Battle of Loch Linnhe

It is the dead of a moonless night, many years ago. All is still and quiet, but suddenly a noise in the waters out towards Lismore alerts the lookout to a gang of Campbells, rowing up the loch in a fleet of Longboats, Barges, Wherries, and Coracles. You put to sea immediately in your own fleet (also, surprisingly enough, consisting of Longboats, Barges, Wherries, and Coracles!) to combat this deadly threat.

Armed with burning spears, your task is to sink the Campbell fleet before they sink you in turn with their spears. As with the game of Battleships, for each spear you throw, they return fire. A ship is sunk when it has been hit all along its length with spears.

Simply click on the left hand grid to determine where to throw your spear. But keep a look out on the right hand side for news of your own fleet! A list of the ships the enemy has left can be seen at the bottom of your browser.
